Boosting food innovation in the Öresund region

Future food production must deal with several global challenges. The world's population has already reached 7 billion and will keep growing, maybe reaching 10 billion within a generation's time. An increasing number of people need to be fed, and that in a sustainable way. At the same time another food-related problem, obesity, is a rapidly growing concern causing ill-health. But these challenges can be turned into something positive for the food industry and accelerate innovation in Europe. In line with this effort, Foodbest is working for the establishment of a Food KIC in the Öresund region, an injection of money to spark innovations.
